The partnership between BRT and Lumina continues the decades-long collaboration between Allen Bertagne and Dr. Castagna to extract the most meaningful geological insights from lading edge seismic technologies in basins around the world. This combination of Technology and extensive experience in subsurface integration allows the application of fully integrated approaches and the development of competitive advantage and improved economics.

Allen Bertagne and Dr. Xianhaui Zhu have worked closely on many projects over the years leading ultimately to improved drilling recommendations. In the case of a project in the Sichuan Basin of China, the client had selected a drilling location based on previous work. After careful interpretation of 3D spectral decomposition data, logs and core data, Mr. Bertagne proposed moving the drilling location 700 meters to the northwest. The well was drilled at this new location and the client confirmed that the result was a high-rate gas producer.

Allen Bertagne, TexSeis and Mike Graul (Founder) have collaborated for more than a decade providing access to leading edge seismic technologies while optimizing the data for the geologic objectives of each individual area. This highly-tuned approach, referred to as Interpreter-Guided Processing aims to deliver higher drilling success rates than the application of more traditional processing approaches. Mr. Bertagne and Mr. Graul have also collaborated on courses related to AVO analysis and other advanced geophysical techniques.
